Session 1: Imagination!

Session I: July 6 - 10

Summer is a great time to expand your imagination!  In this workshop, students will explore real and imaginary worlds through the creation of both 3-D and 2-D Art forms.  Learn to build sculptures of real animals and imaginary creatures such as Pegasus, dragons or unicorns in clay.  Develop drawing techniques as you sketch your ideas using gesture, contour line, shading and perspective to design subjects and their habitats.

Develop observation and drawing skills as you sketch outdoors and develop inspiration for a painting of the environment where your creatures live.  View the work of a variety of artists and illustrators for ideas and fun ways to create real and imaginary worlds.
